(4-27-03)Slinger Speedway Dennis and the DDP/Port-a-John Pontiac start out the 2003 season at Slinger timing in 18th quick,took 21st in the first 75 lap feature,and rebounded to a 9th place finish in the second 75 lapper.The Slinger weekly season starts next sunday! (5-4-03)Slinger Speedway. The season opener at the Slinger 1/4 mile looked alot like the year before. Dennis took the Port-a-John Pontiac to 9th in time,and 3rd in the 65 lap main, a race he led for 50 laps. This year,unlike last season's opener,the scales were happy and Dennis sits 3rd in points.
(5-11-03) The race's for tonight have been called off due to bad weather...see ya next week! (5-18-03) Slinger and the AK 75 memorial race honoring former Slinger and WC champ Alan Kulwicki Dennis times in @ 11.495,starts 13th in the main and immediately gets pushed to the rear by some ill handling cars,and after he regroups moves up to a 13th place finish,and sits 4th in the points. (5-25-03) Slinger Speedway Dennis times in the Port-a-John Pontiac 20th quick,and also the Dale Prunty 1P Modified 6th,Troubles with the LM,races the Modified to a 6th in the dash and 2nd in the feature (6-1-03) Slinger Speedway Dennis races the Grand Prix in the Al Schill Jr Memorial 70, times in 16th at 11.479,and in the main,after getting sent to the rear..he recovers for a 10th place finish. (6-8-03) Tonights Races have been cancelled...we'll do it again..weather permitting....June 15th (6-15-03) Slinger Speedway,DDP means Double Duty Prunty as Dennis wheels the Port-a-John Grand Prix and the Dale Prunty Motorsports #1 in the Mod's. In the Late Model,Dennis won the fast dash after timing in 8th,and in the 65 lap feature,Dennis runs 3rd for some time but lost the handle late in the race and finishes 7th,but moves to 11th in points. In the mod,he timed in 14th and finished 8th with a lazy powerplant. (6-22-03)Slinger Speedway Dennis has been getting the Port-a-John 42 car faster every week, and this week he timed in 4th quick with an 11.527,takes 6th in the dash,and in the 75 lap main,he charged and battled to a 3rd place finish,and moved up to 8th in points!! (6-29-03) Slinger Speedway Fireworks night,Dennis and the DDP Motorsports team head to the track and time in 7th,win the fast dash over Jeremy Lepak,and in the 85 lap main,rebounded from a crash to finish 10th in the feature.Dennis sits 9th in points going into Mid-Season Races. (7-6-03) Slinger Super Speedway Mid Season Championship 65,Dennis times in 9th quick,and in the 65 lap main,Passes Scott Schoeni for the lead and battles first his brother David then Jamie Wallace and hangs on for the win!!!!!!!! Dennis now sits 5th in points.
(7-13-03) Slinger USA. Dennis times in 5th quick with an 11.579,charges toward the front in the dash,repels a block from the 2 car and finishes 3rd,and in the 50 lap main,got turned in turn 4 and rebounded to finish 11th. Dennis sits 7th in points. Dennis has his new DDP Motorsports Cards..stop and get one signed after the races!! (7-20-03) Slinger Speedway......2 days til the Nationals,Dennis times in 7th,takes 2nd in the fast dash, and in the 60 lap main,makes a fast charge to the front and battle for the lead until a deflating tire makes the 42 car a handful and he drops to a 8th place finish Dennis and the DDP Team sit 7th in points.
(7-22-03) Slinger Nationals,the race that brings the best in the nation.Dennis timed early tonight, and it cost him as he had the 25th fastest lap at a 11.556 out of 62 that timed in. Next came a 30 lap qualifying race which took the top 2,Dennis took 4th.The next race was the Semi feature,and the Port-a-John Pontiac driver charged to the front and won the 40 lap affair.
(7-27-03) Slinger Speedway. Dennis starts the night out 6th in time,follows with a 6th in the fast dash, and in the main,has a warm up lap tangle and damages his RF to the point where the car was dragging the whole 60 lap feature,the result,16th in the main and alot of work ahead this week.He is 7th in points. (8-3-03) Slinger Speedway Races cancelled for this evening...we'll do it again next sunday. (8-10-03) Slinger Speedway. Coca Cola Twin 50's at the speedway,and Dennis times the 42 car in at 11.582,good for 7th quick. In the 50 lap mains,Dennis finishes 14th in the first and 4th in the second.He sits 8th in points. (8-17-03) Slinger Speedway. Dennis started the night 8th in time,followed that up with a victory in the fast dash.In the 75 lap main,Dennis fought all race long with Lowell Bennett and ended up 5th in the Feature.He is 8th in points in a tight battle 4th-9th.
(8-19-03) Madison Int Speedway. Dennis hauls the 42 car to the fast 1/2 mile,and times in 24th, the last car taken in time to make the 225 lap event.In the main,Dennis runs strong until a lap 75 brush with the frontstretch wall,and in the process,lose's a lap but recovers to finish 14th in the 30 car main and 9th in overall Miller Nationals Points. (8-24-03) Slinger Speedway. Dennis times in 12th with an 11.602.In the 75 lap main,he is involved in an accordian type Brake Chcck Fest and nearly rips the front clip off.He then regroups and moves back to a 10th place finish and moves within 1 point of 7th,sitting 8th overall. (8-31-03) Port-a-John night at Slinger Speedway,and Dennis pulls double duty as his brother Dale releases one of his stable of Mighty Lefthanders for the Modified races,as well as his Familiar 42. In the Late Model,Dennis times 19th,starts in the last row and moves towards the front in the 100 lapper,finishing 8th and moving up to 7th in the season standings with 2 to go. In the modified,the #1 Port-a-John/Brookfield Vacume car was fast,timing 3rd,taking 3rd in the fast dash,but in the 30 lap main,a mistake by a car in the front caused a major pileup and Dennis was in the pits,making repairs.Once under green,Dennis was moving to the front until he spun out of turn 2 and was hit,ending his night 13th.
(9-7-03) Race of Champions night at Slinger Speedway,and Dennis races 2 classes again.In the Modified,Dennis had a tough night and his ride has been relinquished for the 2003 season. In the Port a John/Auto Body Dynamics Pontiac,Dennis times in 13th with an 11.563.In the 60 lap main,he steers his way forward to an 8th place finish.In the 30 lap race of champions,
Dennis passes brother David then Rich Loch and wins the star studded event,and sits 8th in points. (9-13-03) DELLS Motor Speedway. Dennis,in his first race in a Super Late at the Dells,and against 53 of the best in racing,times the 42 Port-a-John Pontiac in 11th quick for the $10,000 to win event that unfortunatly was rained out,and will be run Sept 27th...see ya there!! (9-14-03) Slinger Speedway. The end of the season finale 75 lapper,and Dennis starts out 10th in time with an 11.519,leads a good portion of the race but a stiff battle results in a 4th place finish. "Halfway Award Winner" Dennis ended the 2003 campaign 8th in points,barely getting edged by Conrad Morgan for 7th. Thanks to all the fans and our great sponsors for a super season and several wins.2004 can only get better!!
(9-26-03) DELLS Motor Speedway. Wisconsin Dells big 250 lapper with a $10,000 winners share was cancelled due to rain and will be rescheduled in the spring of 2004.
