DDP Motorsports and driver/owner Dennis Prunty welcome you to
our website. Dennis has been racing for over 15 years. Starting in enduro's
Dennis moved up the racing ladder to become the 1998 Modified rookie of the
year, 1999 and 2000 Modified champion. In 2001 Dennis moved up to Late
Models, winning rookie of the year and has won features in 2001-2004.
1992 found Dennis in the same bull rings and posted a 3rd place in the Slinger season standings. 1993 started bad and was short lived as the car was totaled early in the season, so points racing was out for the season. 1994 found Dennis selling his car and guest driving brother Dan's car until it was sold. Dennis finished the season racing in the Slinger Enduro. 1995 was a new team for the Late Model ranks, brother David, joined the "elite" division of racing, and Dennis helped launch this new team, late in the season Dennis bought a project car, to ready for the 1996 season. 1996 was the start of some good things as Dennis states "I learned that there is more to racing than the gas pedal, there is a brake pedal too" as Dennis went on to win the most features of any driver at Slinger, and ended the season with the Appleton Auto Wrecking championship at Kaukauna, the richest street stock race in the Midwest. 1997 started with rebuilding the fast 1996 ride and winning several races en route to a 2nd place finish at Slinger. 1998 was the start of a new kind of racing, the Midwest Modifieds, an IMCA type cars with Hoosier Slicks and a bit more liberal claim rule on the power plants. Dennis started out slow adapting to these powerful machines, but slowly by midseason was finding his way to the winners circle and claimed Rookie of the year honors. 1999 started out strong and kept strong, as Dennis won his first championship in the Midwest Modifieds after a season long fight with Florian Wisinski. 2000 was stronger yet as Dennis led early and often to dominate the Modifieds at Slinger, winning by a large margin and winning the championship easily. 2001 was a transition year, and Dennis was top rookie in the Late Model Class. Dennis found victory lane in the season ending feature and moved up in the standings Dennis and the DDP Port-a-John team found victory lane once again, 8th in points and a new ride for 2004. The DDP Motorsports team was a 2 car effort for 2004, Dennis in the new #42 and Dale Prunty guest driving the #17 Port-a-John Pontiac and Pete Wiedmeyer found victory lane in the #7 DDP Car. In 2005, the Dennis finished 7th in points at Slinger Super Speedway. The 2006 season brings new challenges as Dennis will be racing two cars this year. Dennis will be racing a full Slinger schedule as well as a full Wisconsin Challenge Series schedule.
