Ratajczyk Racing 2005 News and Results

(1-7-06) The Washington County Fairgrounds. Chris Ratajczyk and his #21 team got their rewards for the 2005

Slinger Championship tonight. A check, some awards and a delicious Mai Tai were in the cards.

(10-10-05) West Bend, WI. Chris Ratajczyk of Ratajczyk Racing would like to announce the ASA-Late

Model is coming along fine and will be ready for the ASALM-North  race at Lake Geneva plus some 5-8

of the touring series races. Apparel and a new trailer are in the works on santa's wish list for the 2006

season. The LLM  silver car is for sale (pictured below), email Chris for pricing. Have a safe off season.

(9-11-05) Slinger Super Speedway. Chris Ratajczyk...Track Champion!!! Its a phrase never uddered

until 2005. After years of racing and crewing for a couple teams, street stock racer turned late model

pilot Chris Ratajczyk had a plan for 2005, have FUN!! And fun the 21 team did, ditching the high cost

Super Late Model for a LLM and a ASA Late Model. The 21 team took both the dash and 40 lap feature

on old tires. Look for a schedule in the upcoming month for 2006! Thanks to our supporters in '05, we

couldn't have done it without you. To the crew, this Bud's for you!

(9-4-05) Slinger Speedway. Chris guest drove the #92 car tonight and timed in 30th and took 9th in the

semi. Come to Slinger next week for the LLM Championship event.

(9-2-05) Columbus 151 Speedway. Big Purse tonight at 151 Speedway, and bad luck was bound to hit

the #21 team. In timing, a fast car turned slow as a swaybar broke and turned 13.4 hotlaps into a semi car.

In the semi, Chris finished 3rd, meaning a transfer to the main. Starting 21st(kinda catchy?) the sleek silver

Demlang Builders machine and driver charged to a 10th place finish, and a fun party afterwards.

(8-28-05) Slinger Speedway. Chris hauled Dad's old #7 modified to Slinger and showed it off with others

from the Vintage Modified Club, and had a guest driver take it on track at intermission. Al Schill had a blast

touring the 1/4 mile in the old #7.

As Mr. Ratajczyk was watching the laps, i asked more about 2006, and he said the following:

Track or series: ASA LM

Car: Brand New Pathfinder built by BMRE

Whats up with the Silver LLM?? Its for sale for the right price, after Slinger of course.

How many ASA LM Races? 8-10 or so..depending on Sponsorship.

Next race, this Friday at Columbus 151 Speedway

"Congrats to Mike Egan on your 1st feature win!!!!"

(8-21-05) Ratajczyk Racing, West Bend, WI (Near Wal Mart) Chris and the hard working crew were busy

readying the 21 SLM for a night at Slinger, when Shawn Roethle came a callin' and wrote a check for the car,

giving the boys a weekend off. The day started with a pancake breakfast, a brief prayer session, then a road

trip. Video games, a live rodeo and a popcorn social with Dr Pepper ended a fun day, bonding shall we say?

Here are a few question's we asked team leader Chris.

KW: Why did you sell the car?

Rat: SLM racing is too costly for me, so we are refocusing our efforts on different types of racing.

KW: Types??

Rat: LLM racing has re-energized our guys, low dollar  and maximum fun.

KW: Will you branch out?

Rat: We have a few surprises we'll let out of the bag soon!!

KW: Well this has been a waste of time, i know about the LLM, what's the other stuff??

Rat: Just stay tuned, i will announce our plans soon....see you at work tommorow.

KW: Geeeeeee thanks for the scoop Chris...i guess stay tuned to Ratajczyk racing for the news!!

(8-12-05) Columbus 151 Speedway. Chris took the silver #21 car to Columbus to race in their 35 lap event.

In timing, a steady lap equaled 8th in time. In the main, a great run turned a bit tight at the end and a runner-up

finish was the reward. Rat sits 20th in points at the 151 Speedway.

(8-7-05) Slinger Speedway. After a weekend at Luxemburg and Sturgeon Bay raceways with Bobby's old mod,

it was back to the pavement with the 21 LLM. In timing Chris turned 3rd in time, following it up with a 2nd in the

fast dash. In the 30 lap main we had to start in the back cause we won the last race, so a battle was in store and

Mr. Ratajczyk showed his driving prowess as he charged to 4th at the checkers.288-206 is the point lead .

(7-31-05) Ratajczyk Racing has announced the #21 Pathfinder Super Late Model is for sale. We have some

exciting plans for 2006, but first we have the LLM series to complete at Slinger. Look for a possible guest driver

next week as Chris focuses on the LLM series at Slinger.

(7-24-05) Slinger Speedway.Remember the Orange and White 21 car?? Chris hauled it off to Slinger and tried

some different stuff. A 2bbl Carb and some different springs, along with a repositioned brake bias bar and a new

valve lash setting, the end result, 15th in time and a great run in the 75 lapper was thwarted when the 31 car nailed

Mr Ratajczyk late and 16th was the result. The LLM series is upcoming, along with some traveling with the SLM.

(7-13-05) Slinger Nationals. Chris hauled the Boucher Taurus to the biggest race of the year. In timing, Rat timed

at 11.649. In the semi feature, a 20th place start and a hard charge netted a 8th place finish and an early night.

(7-10-05) Slinger Speedway. A great night for the Eldorado Trailer sales LLM series. Point leader and all around

nice guy Chris Ratajczyk started out winning the dash. In the main, a steady but quick charge to 2nd followed by a

side by side battle with Jeff Steenburg for 10 laps created a exciting finish with the #21 LLM Victorious!!!

(7-3-05) Slinger Speedway. Chris spent his holiday weekend prepping the #21 Boucher Ford for the Keith's

Marina Fireworks special, and a great practice session had the team pumped. Timing came and the car got

tight, timing 26th with an 11.615. In the 30 lap semi, a great battle with Mark Bitzan and Brian Johnson netted

second place and a trip to the feature. In the 85 lapper, a vapor lock condition forced the 21 car to a early exit.

Next week the LLM race 3 and the Nationals July 12th.

(6-26-05) We didn't race this weekend, we scoured the highways collecting aluminum cans to take to A&W

iron and metal to turn into cash so we can buy tires for the super late model at Slinger July 3rd. We also took

in a stray grass snake which really freaked Ernie out, so we released it back into the wild. See you sunday!

(6-20-05) West Bend,WI. Chris Ratajczyk had a weekend away from the track as he attended the Vintage show

in Iowa. He will be racing in a couple weeks..stay tuned. Also, Trevor Dassow will be testing the #21 LLM.

Moldmakers, Inc. will be designing a seat insert to help the size difference between Mr. Dassow and Ratajczyk.

(6-12-05) Slinger Speedway.LLM round 2 at Slinger, and Chris times 3rd quick, and charges to 2nd place

in the 35 lap main. "I wish it was 40-50 laps" stated Ratajczyk, " my car was just coming around". Team 21

leads the LLM points at Slinger 152-135

(6-5-05) Slinger Speedway. The SLM was ready for action Sunday, and Chris timed in 18th with an 11.653.

In the main, a steady drive to the front, complete with a smoke screen from the 14 car ended early as the throttle

stuck on the 21 car and 17th was the result. LLM round 2 at Slinger next.

(6-3-05)Columbus 151 Speedway. Chris hauls the silver bullet to the track Friday,  and times in 4th quick.

In the heat, a radical torque absorber failed netting a 8th place finish. In the main, a steady drive from the rear

got team 21 a 7th in the main event.

(5-29-05) Slinger Speedway. The Orange and White Boucher Ford Taurus was cleaned off and hauled to Slinger

for the memorial day show and in timing, 11.585  meant close (20th) but no cigar, so a semi run was needed and

with Eric Darnell winning, Chris had a great battle with Tim Schendel and took 4th in the 30 lap affair.

(5-27-05) Columbus 151 Speedway. Chris took the day off of work to take a nice relaxing ride to the track,

on the way visiting a half-way house for 30-something tire slasher's and cigar theifs. After his public service was

done, he timed the #21 14th quick @ 13.734. In his heat, 3rd was the result. Starting 14th at the tight 1/4 mile,

Rat showed his prowess and expertise as he charged to a 7th place finish.

(5-21-05) Columbus Speedway. Chris and Ernie hauled the silver LLM to the 151 speedway Friday to compete

in the Pepsi 60. In timing, a great lap equaled 3rd in time. Rat followed it with a 6th in the heat race. In the 60 lap

main, a tight race car netted a 11th in the feature. The team sits 6th in points. Columbus and Slinger this week.

(5-16-05) West Bend, WI. Ratajczyk racing report for the week ending May 15th, my webmaster's birthday.

We took the 21 LLM car to Columbus, but rain forced us to park it for the week. Did you see the puddle of oil?

Sunday we worked on some new swedish amphibious ball joints with no grease zerks to try on Bobby's old mod,

and we also picked up a HOWE car, actually Travis Dassow's first ride, which we plan on prepping for Trevor in

2007. This week we will attempt to race at Columbus, where we are 5th in points, and also work on set-ups for the

#21 LLM for Slinger, where we are leading the points, and just how do we grease these ball joints?

(5-8-05) Slinger Speedway. One word, FUN!!  Chris hauled the LLM to Slinger for round 1 of the Eldorado

trailer sales LLM Mini Series, and times in #1, then follows his qualifying with a win in the 30 lap feature as leader

Andy Wendt broke coming for the white flag.

(5-6-05) Columbus 151 Speedway (From ROL Forum)

In a near mirror image of the 2004 Opener Kyle Jarlsberg of Cambridge escaped with a victory despite the advances

of defending champion, Andy Wendt. Jarlsberg grabbed the early lead while the field shuffled to single file by lap ten.

Jason Thoma made the upper groove work and Wendt followed suit soon after challenging Chris Ratajczyk of West Bend
for third. Thoma would later make contact with Tyler James and sustain significant nose damage. Caution fell on lap 30 for

the #46 of Al Weishoff as he slid sideways through the infield. After the late race caution Wendt dispatched the second

place car belonging to Charlie Mierendorf. Too little too late Jarlsberg held on for the win. As they crossed the
line it was Jarlsberg, Wendt, Mierendorf, Ratajczyk and Wasserburger of Poynette rounding out the top five.

(5-1-05) SLINGER SPEEDWAY. So when Mr. Ratajczyk awoke at 5 am, he was preparing to go to Columbus

151 Speedway, hauled the LLM #21 to the track, then the snow hit. So Chris drove home, unloaded the car and

prepped the SLM,got to Slinger late, and with little practice timed in and raced the 75 lap main, and finished 12th.

Snow cancelled the 2nd 75 lapper...stay tuned for next weeks schedule.

(4-23-05) Dells Motor Speedway. Chris hauls the #21 LLM to the Dells and times in 5th quick. In the fast

heat he wins his first race of 2005. In the feature, racing towards the front he cuts a tire and results in a 13th.

Mr Ratajczyk will be practicing at Slinger Saturday the 30th,then hauling the LLM to Columbus Sunday May 1st.

(4-16-05) Wisconsin Dells Motor Speedway. Chris and the 21 LLM team, headed by Trevor Dassow try

and break in the new silver 21 car, only to get rained out. First LLM show TBA.
