(10-14-07) Columbus 151 Speedway. Tony "The Cheetah" Strupp Jr's debut in the Big Red Machinery Movers
12 Car was later than anticipated due to Engine Parts (MOPAR) and finally we got her done.
Under the watchful eyes of Chris Ratajczyk, 2007 ASA Champion Travis Dassow and his brother Mike Strupp,
Tony took the Hemi Powered Pathfinder around the 1/4 mile bullring, spinning out only 4 times in 125 laps, and this
due to rear brake bias issues created when Rat set the balance on the brakes.
Timing was taken via computer and 4 skillfully manned stop watches, he was only .2 slower than the more experienced
asphalt pilots.
"I am ready for 2008", "My schedule will be released after the new year with Slinger a priority".
(9-9-07) Slinger Speedway. Mike Struggles in time at Slinger Behling Night and has to race the semi, which he wins
and takes 18th in the main, finishing 4th in the season points. Great job by the 10 team, driver and Old Earl the motor man.
(9-2-07) Slinger Speedway. Mike and Tony share the hauler to race the Labor day special 100 lapper,
complete with fireworks and at the finish Mike took 3rd and Tony 9th.
Mike relaxes with the Family Monday while Tony plants trees, have a great Holiday!
MUELLER WINS BOB FISH LABOR DAY SPECIAL 100!!!
By Dan Margetta
(Slinger, WI) Sept. 2 —Brad Mueller drove to his second feature victory of the season in the Bob Fish Pontiac Buick GMC Labor Day Special 100-lap late model main event Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway.
“Wow!” Mueller exclaimed upon exiting his car in Victory Lane. “It has been a long time and I’m very, very happy.”
Mueller led a total of 88 laps after using the outside lane to take the lead from Al Schill on lap 12, and then maintained his advantage over Lowell Bennett as the laps wound down.
“I was holding back a little bit after we got a pretty good car-length lead,” Mueller continued. “I kind of idled back a little bit because I’ve been known to fry the right rear tire off these things, so I thought I would play it safe and well, it worked out tonight.”
Tommy Pecaro paced the beginning laps with Schill using the inside to move into second place while Mike Strupp claimed third over Mueller and Race McComb. The car of Jacob Goede looped around in turn two after racing hard for a spot in the top ten on lap four, drawing the caution flag as the field slowed abruptly to avoid the incident. Several cars left the track for repairs and all were able to return with the exception of fast qualifier Nick Schumacher who retired from the event after sustaining damage in the wreck.
Pecaro chose the inside line for the restart, leaving the outside to Schill which he used to his advantage to rocket into the lead as racing resumed. Mueller also used the top lane to work is way into third place while Bennett, Strupp, and Eric Fransen followed behind him. By lap nine, Mueller had pulled alongside Pecaro for second, once again working the outside lane, and as the two cars exited turn four side by side, Pecaro’s car broke loose and he spun to the infield as the race remained under the green flag. Once into second, it took just three laps for Mueller to track down Schill and make the move for the lead, taking to the outside to make the pass on lap 12. Bennett was on the march as well and he too used the top lane to race his way into second place on lap 16, leaving Schill to battle with Strupp, Fransen, and David Prunty.
The remainder of the race ran caution-free despite numerous single car spins as Mueller maintained about a half straightaway advantage over Bennett, who appeared to be able to close slightly once the leaders were free of lapped traffic. Behind the leaders, Strupp was able to power his way into third place, a spot he was able to keep despite suffering a momentarily setback when his car appeared to slow suddenly on the backstretch near lap 70 before regaining momentum and continuing on.
Mueller ran a steady pace in the late stages and raced to the win as Bennett was unable to seriously challenge for the lead, taking the checkered flag in second place. Strupp wrapped up a very strong run with a solid third place finish while John Mueller parlayed a late race charge into a fourth place result. David Prunty took the checkered flag in fifth place, ahead of Fransen and Matt Kocourek. Conrad Morgan came home with an eighth place finish ahead of Tony Strupp, who was ninth, and Jacob Goede recovered from the early spin to post a tenth place finish in his Slinger debut.
Collin Bamke won the 30-lap late model semi-feature over Fred Winn and Mike Egan while Brian Johnson Jr. and Randy Schuler were fourth and fifth respectively. Jerry Eckhardt took top honors in the 15-lap late model consi over Larry Epright and Ron Ragan while George Olson and Kelsey Bauer rounded out the top five. Brad Mueller was the winner of the late model fast dash and Nick Schumacher was the fastest qualifier at 11.493 seconds.
(8-26-07) Slinger Speedway. The Hauler was full with the 10 and 12 cars heading off to Fan Appreciation night.
Mike started out 22nd in time, which meant Semi, which he won, and followed that race up with a 11th in the main.
In the Race of Champions, Mike had a real shot at the win but settled for 3rd place money.
Tony timed in 11th and the invert was 10...so he started behind fast time and last weeks winner. In the main he was
moving up fast to the top 3, but soon a loose car forced the Tiger to ease up and settle for 6th.
In the Race of Champions the 12 was a bit wide and tangled with the 89, lost the front end and ended up 12th.

Slinger, Wis., Aug. 12— Jeremy Lepak out-dueled David Prunty in a thriller Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway to win the Pepsi Challenge 80 presented by Russ Darrow Toyota by a car length.
“I had to work pretty hard for that one,” Lepak told an excited crowd following the event. “It was real exciting there and I’m glad we put on a good show for the fans as he (Prunty) made it interesting.”
Steven Schulz battled Fred Winn for the lead at the green flag before Winn used the outside to gain the top spot on lap two. Mike also moved forward, taking over the second spot by lap ten while David Prunty followed in third, just ahead of Dale Prunty and Schulz. David Prunty was able to work his way into second by lap 14, just before a spin by Nick Schumacher in turn two produced the first caution flag. Winn was able to maintain the lead on the restart but three laps later, Prunty was able to track him down, passing him to take the lead and opening the door for Egan to grab second.
As Prunty began to extend his lead, Lepak methodically picked his way through the field, entering the top five by lap 20. Utilizing his car’s ability to turn well on the inside exiting the corners, Lepak used the lower groove to race into third place by lap 30 before charging around Egan for second on lap 32. The leaders approached lapped traffic and Lepak began to cut into Prunty’s advantage while Egan battled with Matt Kocourek over third. A spin by Race McComb in turn two on lap 49 brought out the yellow flag and bunched up the field for the restart with Prunty choosing the inside lane, leaving Lepak to line up alongside on the high lane.
Prunty was on the mark for the restart and kept the lead while Lepak made serious challenges for the top spot in the high groove, moving alongside, but not able to clear Prunty’s car as they exited the corners. On lap 51, Lepak finally made the move stick and he edged by to take the lead while Kocourek advanced into third place and Nick Schumacher began to charge ahead and into the top five. Lepak was unable to shake Prunty as the defending track champion remained in his tire tracks when a tangle between Winn and Egan in turn four brought out the caution flag for the final time on lap 60.
The final 20 laps produced some of the best racing of the season as Prunty used the inside lane while Lepak worked the top as they battled for the lead. The two remained close together for the final laps with Prunty able to pull up to Lepak’s rear quarter panel only to have Lepak ease ahead with a better run off the corners. On the final lap, Lepak was able to maintain his advantage, taking the win with Prunty nearly alongside at his rear bumper. Schumacher recovered from the earlier spin to impressively come home with a third place finish while Kocourek and Dale Prunty rounded out the top five. Al Schill took the checkered flag in sixth place ahead of Mike Strupp and Gary LaMonte while Nick Hammer and Race McComb completed the top ten finishers.
(8-5-07) Slinger Speedway. Rain hits the track so we have a week off .
(7-29-07) Slinger Speedway. Mike and the 10 team hauled off to Slinger (Thanks for the hauler Brad) for the PPC 75, and struggled
to 22nd in time. Rather than race the semi feature Mike took his "Mulligan", a chance for a top 10 car in points to use to start the
feature.
In the main, Mike steadily moved up, then got pushed back....then got a flat RF tire, pitted and rebounded to a 13th place finish.
Mike fell to 6th in points, 8 out of 4th place.
(7-22-07) Slinger Speedway. Mike sets Fast Time and a 6th in the 75 lap main.
Donavan Morgan shared the front row with Bauer at the start and quickly fell into second place while Nick Schumacher,
Dale Prunty, and Race Mc Comb followed. Bauer began to stretch his lead over Morgan as Schumacher and Prunty
battled for third while McComb maintained the fifth spot. Mike Egan and Gary LaMonte put on the best battle on the
speedway over the sixth spot with Egan eventually taking the position using the inside lane. Tommy Pecaro looped
his car in turn two on lap 25 but the race remained under the green as he was able to continue with Bauer still leading over Morgan.
As Bauer and Morgan weaved their way through lapped traffic, Dale Prunty was able to work his way around
Schumacher for third by lap 40. Behind the leaders, Lowell Bennett, David Prunty, and Al Schill looked to move
forward after starting deep in the field but neither was able to make much progress, running just inside the top ten.
Bauer kept his machine out front the entire distance and drove to his first win of the season while Morgan ran a
steady race to finish a strong second. Dale Prunty also remained solid the entire race and crossed the finish line
in third place while Schumacher took the checkered flag in fourth. Race McComb wrapped up his strongest run
of the season with a respectable fifth place finish ahead of Mike Strupp and Lowell Bennett. Nick Hammer,
Al Schill, and Gary LaMonte rounded out the top ten finishers.
Tommy Hromadka held off Mike Meyerhofer to win the 30-lap late model semi-feature while Scott Schoeni,
Joe DeStefano Jr., and Brady Bennett finished in third through fifth respectively. Mike Egan took home the
win in the late model fast dash and Mike Strupp was the fastest qualifier at 11.489 seconds.
(7-17-07) Slinger Speedway. Tony timed in 6th quick for the 250 lap affair featuring NASCAR stars
and the locals with touring stars mixed in, and followed that up with a very strong run, second at the

12th place. AHHHH what coulda been Tiger......

that up with a 12th place finish in the 75 lap main event. Slinger Nationals Tuesday Night, gates open at 3.
(7-8-07) Slinger Speedway. Mike sweated his way to 17th in time and 12th in the 60 lap feature.
He sits 4th in points with a great 3rd place battle ahead. He also turned the fastest lap of the feature.
(7-1-07) Slinger Speedway. The upper deck was in full use Sunday at Slinger with the 10 and 12 cars off to the track
for Keith's Marina Night, 85 laps of racing, fireworks and thousands of tired souls Monday Morning.
Mike started out 5th in time with an 11.544, following that up with a 4th in the dash.
In the 85 lap main, a steady run towards the front went away and Mike faded to an 11th place finish.
Mike fell to 4th in points, 3 behind 3rd place.
Tony held fast time until Brad Mueller bested him late, turning an 11.466, following that up with a 3rd in the dash.
In the main, the 12 team is trying to develop a good race setup. but after 35 laps, it just wasn't working and Tony
parked the car, finishing 20th.

(Slinger, WI) June 24—Defending track champion, David Prunty notched his fourth late model feature win of the season Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway in the US Army 75.Prunty began the event from the ninth position and steadily worked his way through the field before kicking in the afterburners with 20 laps to go and using an outside pass to take the lead for good from Mike Strupp on lap 55“I didn’t think I had it for a sticky track like this,” Prunty told the crowd from Victory Lane. “It was hard to do, but we got it.”Strupp set the pace for most of the event, leading at the start over Fred Winn, Gary LaMonte, and Conrad Morgan. The strong contingent of Prunty, Lowell Bennett, and Al Schill marched their way toward the front and into the top six by lap 20. A solo spin by Brad Dahmer on lap 24 drew the first caution flag, erasing Strupp’s advantage and bunching the field for the double-file restart. Strupp continued where he left off, stretching his way to another lead over Winn, while Morgan used the outside to shut the door on Prunty for third. Morgan and Prunty then used the inside line to dispatch Winn for second as he became caught on the outside and subsequently lost two more spots to Bennett and Schill. Another single car spin by Brad Keith on lap 32 slowed the race for the second and final time as Strupp led Morgan, Prunty, Bennett, and Schill.
Once again, Strupp hit the marks on the restart and maintained his lead as Morgan did all he could to hold off Prunty and Bennett. Using all the available real estate, Morgan fended off challenges on the inside from Prunty and outside from Bennett until just before the 50-lap mark when both were able to work inside of Morgan for second and third. Once into second, Prunty quickly made up ground on Strupp, pulling to his bumper within five laps. On lap 55, Prunty took to the high side and racing around Strupp for the lead. Over the final 20 laps, Prunty pulled away to his fourth win of the season while Strupp was forced to settle for second. The best battle on the track in the final laps was for third place between Schill and Bennett as they drove door to door to the checkered flag with Bennett edging Schill for the spot. Josh Bauer finished in fifth ahead of Morgan, John Mueller, and Winn. Nick Schumacher and Mike Meyerhofer completed the top ten finishers.
(6-17-07) Slinger Speedway. Tough Night for Mike and the 10 team.
The field settled down in the middle stages with the top five remaining relatively unchanged while David Prunty gradually worked his way forward into the sixth position by lap 40. Mike Strupp suddenly slowed while exiting turn two on lap 44 while running in the top ten and the ensuing traffic jam behind him caught up Josh Bauer, sending his car into the wall on the backstretch to bring out the caution. This time as the green appeared, it was Prunty who made a significant gain on the outside, moving from sixth to third while Bennett continued to lead. By lap 60, David Prunty again used the outside to slip by Dale Prunty for second and began to try to erase Bennett’s lead. While Prunty chased Bennett, Nick Schumacher also found life on the outside and he marched ahead to secure the third spot with five laps to go. Bennett was able to maintain his lead all the way to the checkered flag to pick up his second feature win of the season. David Prunty finished a strong second while Schumacher, Dale Prunty, and Schill rounded out the top five.

Mike takes 3rd at Slinger
(Slinger, WI) June 10—David Prunty proved he has the Slinger Super Speedway set-up nailed down as he held off Lowell Bennett to win the Enders Construction/Design to Construct 75 for his second consecutive and third late model feature win of the season.
“The slipperier the track is, the better we are,” Prunty stated from Victory Lane, “Tonight it was really slippery and that really helps.”
Bennett and Pete Weidmeyer led the field to the green flag and Bennett jumped out to the lead while contact between the cars up front bottlenecked the field, causing everyone to jam on the brakes, allowing the inside line to advance forward. Most cars escaped the dust up with little to no damage with the exception of Mike Egan whose wrinkled front fender sparked as it dragged along the track. With Bennett moving out front, Collin Bamke moved into second place ahead of Gary Lamonte, Josh Bauer, and Mike Strupp while Prunty advanced five spots and into seventh.
The first caution flag appeared on lap 13 for a Fred Winn spin in turn one with Bennett continuing to lead over Bamke, LaMonte, and Bauer. Bennett used the inside lane to hang on to the top spot while farther back, Prunty began to march forward and into the top three. Jeremy Lepak also looked strong in the early going but his race came to an end when his car sputtered to the infield on lap 25, just before the yellow flag flew for a second time for an tangle between Pete Wiedmeyer and Matt Kocourek on lap 27. Prunty continued his charge as racing resumed and he pulled alongside Bennett to challenge for the lead, taking the position for good by lap 30 while behind
them a battle between Josh Bauer, Mike Strupp, and Nick Schumacher developed over third.Once out front, Prunty was able to hold onto his lead as Bennett was able to keep him in sight, but was never able to mount a serious challenge while the best action on the track was occurring for third between Bauer and Strupp. The fastest car on the speedway in the late going was Kocourek as he worked his way from the back of the pack to challenge for the top five slots by lap 65. At the finish, Prunty took the checkered flag ahead of Bennett while Strupp held off Bauer for third. Schumacher finished in the fifth position just ahead of Kocourek and LaMonte. Dale Prunty, Conrad Morgan, and John Mueller completed the top ten finishers.

DAVID PRUNTY WINS E.H. WOLF & SONS 80 AT SLINGER SPEEDWAY!!!
By Dean Strom
(Slinger, WI) May 27—Defending Slinger Speedway late model track champion David Prunty captured his second feature win of the season Sunday night, scoring a convincing win in the E.H. Wolf & Sons 80. Prunty crossed the strip ahead of Brad Mueller and John Mueller.
“I made the crew work for it today,” said Prunty. “We showed up with the wrong right front suspension and changes during every practice session and before qualifying. But we got it right for a cool track.”
Mike Strupp and John Mueller started from row one while Prunty rolled off from the fifth spot. Strupp took the lead at the drop of the green while John Mueller and Al Schill settled in behind him. John Mueller got pinned on the outside lane, allowing Schill and Prunty to sneak by before he could get to the bottom.
Prunty, however, was busy making it look easy, moving past fourth starting Nick Hammer at the drop of the green and moved to the outside of Schill on lap five. Schill’s night came to an abrupt halt immediately after Prunty got by as the five-time speedway late model track champion’s car lost power. By lap 10 Prunty shot under Strupp for the lead and immediately opened up a healthy advantage.
Ninth starting Brad Mueller was on the move early, working past Dale Prunty and into top five by lap 10. Brad Mueller quickly dispatched of fourth running Hammer and set his sights on side-by-side running John Mueller and Strupp.
John Mueller eventually got past Strupp, just prior to the events first caution, triggered when Mike Strupp got sideways in turn three. Rookie Dale Prunty, Dennis Prunty, Tony Strupp, Travis Dassow and Matt Kocourek all got tangled up with Mike Strupp in the wild incident. Mike Strupp and Dassow suffered the worst damage and were done for the night.
When the field came down for the green, it was John Mueller who lined up alongside the leader Prunty. Brad Mueller went from the inside of row two. Brad quickly got past John before the caution flew again, this time for a Tony Strupp and Hammer spin off of turn two on lap 32. Both Strupp and Hammer were sent to the rear of the field as Brad Mueller, the winner of the seasons opening event, lined up alongside Prunty on the subsequent restart. He, however, could only watch as Prunty drove off to a solid lead.
The remaining distance ran caution-free. The most spirited battle of the night occurred between Dale Prunty and John Mueller as they raced side-by-side for nearly 50 laps. John Mueller eventually prevailed and captured the third spot as Dale Prunty settled for fourth. Rich Loch finished fifth while Jeremy Lepak made a last lap pass of Lowell Bennett to finish sixth.
Earlier in the evening, Brad Mueller scored the fast dash. Tony Strupp notched his first fast qualifier award in eight years, touring the ¼-mile oval at 11.490 seconds.
