August-September 2004 News and Results

 

(8-1-04) Slinger Speedway.Mike and the 10 team head off to try and crack the top 10

in the standings,and Randy coaxes the driver to turn an 11.527,good for 13th in time.

In the main,Mike moves up a bit but tags a spun car late and the result,17th.

 

 

(8-8-04)Slinger Speedway. The 10 team heads off to Slinger,as dad stays attached to

the dozer.In timing Mike turns a 11.578,good for 20th and a race in the semi.Mike starts

4th row and finds the sledding tough not being able to find a place to pass for several laps

finally moving to 4th but running out of laps.....the night ends early...15th in points.

 

 

(8-15-04) Slinger Speedway. Mike times in 27th with an 11.694...good for the pole in the

semi.Mike cruises to an easy win.In the feature...some evasive driving saved the 10 car as

several bad moves by a few drivers only allowed Mike to advance to 15th,and still 15th in points.

 

 

(8-22-04) Slinger Speedway AK Memorial Night. Mike takes the 10 car to Waynes World and

times in 24th,missing the main with no chance to advance,he had to do it all in the 30 lap semi.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do it all he did racing hard with Chris Ratajczyk for most of the race he won the semi and had

a chance to watch the twin 50's.Mike sits 15th in points.

 

 

(8-29-04) Slinger Speedway.Behling Circle Track/EH Wolf night and timing starts out ok for the 10

team posting a11.545...good enough for the show starting 17th.Mike moved up and made contact with

the 23 car,was sent to the rear....charged back to 9th..again contact was made but Mike was the car

spun out..so to the rear again and charge back to a 15th place finish...slipping to 16th in points.

 

 

(9-5-04) Slinger Speedway Labor Day 100 lapper..with fireworks,more cars and...The Tiger?

 

Mike starts out well timing 16th with 11.519 as his time.In the main,a steady run to the front was

dashed as he was punted into the infield and by the time he returned,16th was all he could muster.

So it was 16th in time,16th in the main and he sits 16th in points...bet on the 16 horse??

 

Tony jumped off the dozer and tried his hand at Slinger,Timing in 21st @ 11.561.In the semi,rear

start meant alot of traffic and he got up as hi as 6th..where he finished in the 30 lapper.

 

(9-12-04) Slinger Speedway. Mike starts out good..but gets caught up in someone elses

mess and has to take tha wall and tears the RF off....ending the '04 season on a sour note.

Tony hauled the RanderCar to Slinger and took second in the semi with a blown power

valve hampering the 12 car.Look for him at Rockford later this month.
