2005 News&Results
(10-29-05) Rockford, IL. CRA Super Series 250 at Rockford. Mike already made the race lat month,
but Tony had a last chance race today. After cracking the top 10 in practice speeds, The Tiger easily
took 2nd to Dan Lensing and advanced to the 250 lapper.
In the main, a steady charge to the front found the 12 car in the top 10, but 2 incidents with the 5 and
drive machine left the Rander Car/ Dodge with spindle/ brake/ shroud/ radiator damage and a 14th
place finish.
Mike, as stated earlier was locked in the main, had engine trouble after his maiden voyage at Rockford,
and a 24th place finish for the #110 car was the result. Deer Hunting next, see you in spring.
(9-25-05) Rockford, IL. Mike and Tony take their machines to the Rockford Speedway for the
CRA 250 lapper, better known as the National Short Track Championships.
In practice, Mike and Tony were both fast, but after a 4 hour rain delay before timing, the track
changed and both were in the qualifier. Mike was best taking 4th and advancing to the 250 lap
event which will take place October 29th.
(9-17-05) St Lawrence, WI. Mike and Tony Strupp will try their luck at Rockford Speedway this
upcoming weekend in the CRA 250 lapper.
"I've never raced at Rockford, but I've seen dad have some stellar races there", commented the pilot
of the Schwanke powered Lefthander chassied Monte Carlo. "Lefthander Chassis is adding some
incentive to get a top 10, and our Vortec powerplant just may be the ticket for 250 laps".
"I've won at Rockford, and I've sworn at Rockford", stated the elder Strupp. "Tony Jr. has
been working his tail off on this car, and I'd like nothing better than to reward him with a top
finish at the NSTC".
This race may end the Crew Chief's of both the 10 and 12 cars as Randy Strupp may be calling
his last race for the Mike Strupp machine, and Tony Jr. has aspirations of fielding a LLM in '06.
Strupp Enterprises is seeking sponsorship for the NSTC, email for details.
(9-11-05) Slinger Speedway. Mike and Tony haul off for the finale, trying some new set-ups for next
season as neither are points racing this season.
Mike timed in 20th, which meant rear of the semi and had to drive more defensively than offensively
and 4th was all he could muster. Mike plans on the Rockford CRA race September 23rd.
Tony timed in 19th, and had a rocket for the semi feature. His rocket fizzled quick as a faulty
radiator cap was letting water spill out on the track and he called it a night at lap 10.
Tony will be hitting a few specials this fall, details soon.
(9-4-05) Slinger Speedway. Mike, Tony and the team headed off to Slinger Speedway for the Port a
John 100. In timing Mike did the best turning an 11.575, good for 11th quick. This was a major feat
considering the #10 team had no practice as the steering was an issue, and the crew changed the power
steering pump and Steering rack. In the 100 lap main, Mike was biding his time in 11th when contact
with another car send him into the wall and a RF tire cut cause right side suspension damage.
Mike would like to thank David and Dennis Prunty for the parts needed to get on the track.
Tony has made a ton of changes to the #12 car and it seemed positive tonight. With minimal track
time we were unsure how timing would go. Drawing an early spot, the guys had a long time to wait as
the bumping process with 44 cars seems to take forever. Tony was bumped out of the top 18 late
ending up 20th. In the semi where 2 advance, the car was flying, but the luck was bad and a rocker
arm snapped in half and the banging was a prelude to the fireworks soon to come.
(8-30-05) St Lawrence, WI. Strupp Enterprises would like to welcome some new sponsors to our team.

for the Port a John 100!!
(8-28-05) Slinger Speedway. Behling Race Equipment night at Slinger, and Mike was ready for 60 laps of action.
In the main event, it seemed like a battle for the whole event and when all was said and done a 4th place finish was
garnered by the hard working #10 team. Next week 100 laps of action with fireworks by Port a John!
(8-21-05) Slinger Speedway. Coca Cola twin 50's, 20 cars straight up by time for 2- 50 lap races, and Mike squeeze's
the 10 car in 20th quick. In the main the mighty Schwanke failed and Mike and the crew went home early to remove the
6 litre powerplant and send her back to Minnesota.
(8-14-05) Slinger Speedway. Mike takes the 10 car down the road to the speedway, times in 11th quick.

In the main, the 10 car leads 23 laps before being overtaken by David Prunty and when 65 laps were over,
a 4th place finish was the result for the Randy Strupp lead group.
(8-7-05) Slinger Speedway. The biggest cost a race team incurs during the season is tires, at over $100
each they are needed to stay competitive. The track was trying some new tires, and Mike accepted a set,
but they were alot different than the tires of last week causing the car to tighten up so badly the advantage
of the smooth accelerating Schwanke were eliminated and the 10 team timed 19th and took 9th in the semi.
(7-31-05) Slinger Speedway. After hot lapping the Port a John 10 car at Slinger a week earlier, Mike and the team
headed off to Slinger to see what the Schwanke could do. In the dash Mike took runner-up to Dennis Prunty. In the
70 lap Bon Jovi feature, the car got loose a couple times but was turning the fastest times on the track late in the race
with the final result 9th place and a few bugs to work out of the Lefthander for next week.
(7-13-05) Slinger Nationals. Kerry Earnhardt and Tony Strupp shared the 12 cars(we changed one to 33) for the 250
lap event. Timing was tight, Tony turned 11.571, while Kerry 11.731. In the main event, they ended up 19th and 20th,
Kerry was running a bit hot, while Tony collided with the #51 car ending the night early. Thanks to Eden Stone, Port-
a-John, and all who helped us get the 2 car effort fielded at the prestigious event.
(7-12-05) Slinger Speedway. Slinger Nationals have been moved to Wednesday the 13th at 4:30. Kerry did a good
job in the #33 car after 2 practice sessions, while Tony is getting the #12 car closer. New pics listed under 2005 Nationals
pics.
(7-11-05) St Lawrence, WI. Preparations are ongoing at Strupp Enterprises as Mike has fired the 2005 Schwanke,
Tony has made numerous changes to the Rander-Car, and the Pathfinder will be raced by Kerry Earnhardt this Tuesday
at the Slinger Nationals. "Hope all the works pays off", Stated Tony Strupp Jr., " I haven't slept in a week".
(7-3-05) Slinger Speedway. A week before the nationals Tony hauls the 12 car to the track to get ready for
the big show. In timing, she was tight turning a 11.627. The semi was an early night as he was tagged leading
on lap 3 then got caught in the back with some major weapons getting booted into the wall in turn 4.
(6-5-05) Slinger Speedway. Enders Construction Night at the track, and Tony times in 16th with an 11.646.
In the main, the car just wasn't good, "we tried 16 shocks, 24 springs and 4 lengths to the upper link, and she
still won't handle the banks" exclaimed Tony Strupp Jr. "We have to figure this car out, i turned down a date
to get this thing figured out" the bachelor continued, "we'll see, maybe we will cut it up...i am puzzled".
After the feature, 18th was the final result.
(5-29-05) Slinger Speedway. Big Red Machinery Movers hauled the 12 car to Slinger for the EH Wolf 80,
alot of new faces at the track, Tony times 18th with an 11.554. In the main, Tony slowly moves to the front

until some contact sends him to the back, and with a crunched front end, 13th was all he could finish.
(5-21-05) Jefferson WI WCS race. For the second year in a row, the 12 car has problems with the valve train
at the WCS 100 lapper, and 5 laps of practice were all the team got, resulting in poor runs in timing and the 30
lap qualifier. Slinger and possibly Plover next for the 12 car.
(5-15-05) Mike and Tony missed the races this weekend due to influenza, which is worse than a push.
(5-8-05) Slinger Speedway. Mike and the gang haul the Pathfinder off to Slinger for the mothers day special,
and just misses the main. In the semi feature, Mike battled with Conrad Morgan, Mike Egan and Scott Schoeni
thru the whole 30 laps, and ends up 2nd to Schoeni and advances to the main. In the 60 lapper, the 30 extra
laps showed, but Mike managed a top 15 finish. He will return to Slinger May 15th while Tony sails to WIR
(5-1-05) SLINGER SPEEDWAY. Mike and Tony and the Strupp gang haul the 12 cars to the track,
and wow...what a dreary day. Rain and snow interrupted the preparation of the cars, and between showers
we timed in 14th and 16th. Mike had a bad tranny leak in the pathfinder and had to pull off, while Tony had
to play defense starting near the rear in the Rander Car and placed 11th. Mike has a decision to make for the
2005 season, continue the Vortec experiment or go 9-1?? Stay Tuned. Both drivers will be at Slinger May 8th,
which will be an afternoon show and hopefully 30 degree's warmer.
(4-23-05) Slinger Speedway has been pushed back 1 week due to cold, dreary weather. May 1st
time trials at 1:00,with racing at 2.
(4-9-05) DELLS MOTOR SPEEDWAY. Tony and the 12 team headed off to the DELLS for the
Wisconsin Challenge Series event #1. The new Rander car had a miss..and we changed everything
but the distributer, timed in with a bad miss, changed the distributer and it ran fine...only too late to
make the 100 lapper and 9th in the qualifier was the result. Thanks to the Loch-Lagina Team for
all their help, Adam Royle for the distributor and ma nature for the sunburn. Slinger twin 75's next!
(3-8-05)St. Lawrence,WI. Strupp Enterprises is busy prepping 2 cars for the 2005
season. Tony will start 2005 at the DELLS April 9th for the WCS opener in the Rander
